A reader's privacy on mrbahisin.com, in plain language, with a note on what the desk collects and what it does not
The desk's privacy policy is short on purpose. The desk collects the minimum data needed to run a working editorial guide. The desk does not sell reader data. The desk does not share reader data with third parties beyond what is required to run the platform (the CDN, the analytics provider, the affiliate link tracker).
What the desk collects
The desk collects anonymous page-view analytics through a privacy-respecting analytics provider. The desk does not collect personal data, except for the data a reader voluntarily submits through the contact form. The contact-form data is used only to answer the reader's question, and is deleted after the conversation is closed.
What the desk does not collect
The desk does not collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or any data the desk could use to identify a reader. The desk does not run a marketing automation system, a retargeting pixel, or a third-party tracking service beyond what is needed for the affiliate link tracker.
How long the desk retains data
The contact-form data is retained for the duration of the conversation, then deleted. The page-view analytics are retained for thirteen months, in line with the analytics provider's default retention. The desk does not retain data beyond what is needed for the purpose it was collected.
The reader's rights
A reader can request a copy of any data the desk holds about them. A reader can request that the desk delete the data. A reader can request that the desk correct any data the desk holds. The desk responds to all three requests inside thirty days. The contact form is the channel for these requests.
